Do you think you have what it takes to be a member of this organization? If you have decided that you wish to give something back to the Norwood community, then perhaps volunteering as an EMT is right for you.  As an EMT, you will know the pride that we feel when we make a difference in someone’s life, and you will feel the pain when, despite all your best efforts, life is lost.  There are no words to describe the feeling you have when you embrace a neighbor to whom, weeks earlier, you administered life-saving CPR and defibrillation.  There are no words to describe the emotions you feel when you are present to witness and assist in the miracle of birth.  There is no greater feeling than knowing that through your efforts, you truly have made a difference in the life of a human being.  From the smallest Band-Aid placed by a comforting hand to the effort of teamwork in the removal of an injured driver from the wreckage of his car, the rewards of EMS are many.

How You Can Help

     If you would like to share in the enormous satisfaction that comes from knowing that you have served the community in which we live, please consider becoming a volunteer member of Norwood EMS.  We invite all interested parties, age sixteen and over, to join us at our Headquarters Building, located at 496 Broadway, on the first and third Mondays of the month, or to call 201-768-4477.  If you feel that you cannot serve as an EMT, we encourage you to support Norwood through monetary donation at our annual fund drive, and through our fund-raising events.
